Caterpillar to Chrysalis 3

This is when the transformation is almost complete. He’s still got to wiggle off the rest of the skin… and then let his shell harden in the sun.

By tomorrow, this will be a safe, hard little shell for the monarch to grow in. We’ll be keeping an eye on it.

And that concluded the nature portion of my blog.
