Homassassa Springs, Florida.

A natural spring, and protected wildlife area, where this beautiful manatee (and others) can live the life she was meant to live.

The Springs has an educational center, and a non-intrusive viewing pod that takes you below the surface of the springs.

If you’re lucky– you see one of these beauties… and so much more. The profusion of fish, birds, reptiles and manatees makes it easy to see why the early Spanish explorers thought Florida was a place you could legitimately find something as mystical as the Fountain of Youth.

Why not? It already had mermaids and sea monsters…
