We’re flying out of India today and back to London.

It’s been an evetful trip, starting with the Great Ash Crisis and getting stuck in London, to arriving in India for an amazing trip to the Taj Mahal, Delhi, and Varanasi. Then to Bangalore and Mysore, and back to Bagalore — where the groom almost missed the wedding because of a bus accident.

Then, three days of an amazing wedding, and really being included in the whole celebration.

Now, we’re tired, but happy.

So it’s goodbye to India. And if our guide in Varanasi is right, once we’ve visited, we will find ourselves there again some day….

–This isn’t as easy as it looks.

  1. This photo is absolutely fabulous!!! I love the purple tint…

One of the nicest things about traveling is the trip home…thinking about the adventures you’ve had and about your own bed, people, and animals back home…have a wonderful and safe trip home…

    • We’ve made it to London and are thrilled to be drinking martinis without worrying about the ice (not toention being able to shower with our mouths open). By which I mean… We don’t have to worry about the water here! Yay!

But, I already miss India. It was such a crazy, fantastic experience of such total extremes. I have a lot to digest once I get home…

  2. I will miss the daily bulletins of new adventure.
it looks like there is a siloette of a pair of hands reaching for the sky at the very bottom center of the picture. Very symbolic.
    happy travels to you.

  3. Such a fitting picture for the end of the trip! Seems like you’ve been gone forever!
